Last summer's discovery was knowing that Jeff could play the harmonica by improvisation. Having done so when our friend from Ripon visited us in North Beach one evening, he was kind of inspired on learning how to play it right.

After our vacation in Oregon, he researched online and ordered a software on How-to-play-the-blues-harmonica and upon the advisement of Jim (who consulted his buddy on which brand to purchase and that happened to be the Lee Oskar brand), Jeff purchased a complete set of it in various keys. Then, when Jeff's order online was delivered in our flat in San Francisco, he immediately started to learn his first few lessons on how to produce different tone quality on his harmonica. Next, he began to create music from improvisation. Today, Jeff is currently refining his skills in playing music with expression.

In this video file, you'd see the two brothers Jim and Jeff as they cruise along with their music. Jim plays the native American flute with gusto while Jeff plays his harmonica. Together, they play a duet one rainy morning in Oregon last summer.

At The Cabin & By The Ocean- August 18, 2007

Photos inside the cabin were taken just before Dave and Judy left for Nevada. The next few days the weather was quite unpredictable but mostly, it rained so we were cloistered at the cabin for a while. But as soon as the sun was up, we all zoomed into the beach and that's where summer seemed to have all began for us this year.

Dave & Judy's Arrival In Lincoln City- August 14, 2007

Each summer we all go to Lincoln City in Oregon to bond as family. We usually stay there for a week at the cabin that Jim and Glenda do rent in our behalf. We really do appreciate their kind gesture because with this, we are able to pay a minimal sum for the duration of our stay.

At the cabin we do many things together. We find the time to play some board games, learn new dance steps, eat, cook, sleep, read, shop, and play some slots and craps at the Indian casino. We do things individually and collectively as the time calls for it. There is no pressure involved with these activities. All is done freely and dependent on one's pace, mood, enthusiasm, and spontaneity. Otherwise, we are fine and in synch for the sheer fun of having each other's company. Because it is not very often we are together, we savor the remainder of our time which is great.

In this video, Dave and Judy have just arrived from a few days' stay at their friends' vacation house somewhere in the region. Jim and Glenda were teaching us (me and Jeff) some dance steps like rumba and swing. Quite timely, Dave and Judy came in at the height of our learning process. Excited about what was going on, they shared in their thoughts if Dave should pursue a dancing lesson or not. Dave's kids gave him a gift pass for a dance lesson (waltz).
